Hydrostat Ball Head with RC2 Rapid Connect System
The 468MGRC2 incorporates the same 'world first' hydraulic ball-locking system as the 468MG, and uses Manfrotto's popular RC2 Rapid Connect plate, small and light enough to leave permanently attached to your compact or SLR camera even when not using a tripod. Using hydraulics instead of a mechanical system to block the head's center ball produces a super-tight lock from a minimal turn of the locking knob, without sacricficing the smoothness of the ball's movement when unblocked. Designed to meet the demands of professional photographers who require a light weight head but at the same time being able to support their heavy camera loads up to 16kg (35lbs)! The 468MGRC2 borrows the popular features found on Manfrotto's standard range of ball heads - such as independent pan and tilt locks with a 360° pan movement and +90° / -90° tilt movement. To keep weight low, the head is made of magnesium; and to provide smooth movements, the 2' aluminum ball is Teflon coated. For additional control, a calibrated adjustable tension knob allows you to preset the ball friction to suit your camera weight so that you can remove your hands from the camera without risking the camera falling. The oversized ball locking knob allows for easy control even when using gloves. Also has a graduated, engraved panoramic base. Available in 5 alternative models with fixed or quick-release camera attachment systems.
